What is the best freeware software to burn dvd backup copies on a laptop??
It is equipped with a dvd-rw and has a vista operating system (acer pc). And if applicable what format can be burned to dvd and watched on a regular dvd player?

- I have an acer laptop with vista and I really don't think you need an additional software. If you right click what you want to burn then click the DVD drive and insert your dvd and see what happens.
- to COPY is probably illegal. but you can burn your own using the DVD creator that comes in Vista.
- DVD Shrink is a freeware that can help you backup DVD to laptop, just google search for it. I'd prefer using Cucusoft DVD Burner Pro to burn DVD, it's not free, but it works really nice for me, here is a guide about it http://www.top5soft.com/tutorial/how-to-convert-and-burn-avi-divx-mpeg-to-dvd.html If you still have problem, feel free to contact me.
